Leslie Stephens Design Hi! Thanks for your question. The tile was there prior to the renovation and the owners wanted to keep it. Sorry, I don't have any specific information about it! Best, Leslie
Leslie Stephens Design Thanks for your question. The homeowner selected this granite, so I don't have the name, sorry! There are many quartz-like granites available, so check your local stone supplier, and take a picture of this kitchen with you! Best, Leslie
KCS Design Do you happen to know the brand of thisexact sink? It is rare to find an apron front that is this squared off. it is definitely not the Whitehaven
Leslie Stephens Design @ KCS Design-- I'm sorry, I don't have the specs on this sink. The customer selected it without my assistance. If I found out, I"ll let you know. Thanks for your question. :) Leslie
island top - I love the island counter top! What is it? Is it travertine? Any suggestions about using/not using travertine in a kitchen would be very appreciated! Thank you. »
Kathleen Cochrun This is actually "quartzite"--a natural stone that is harder than granite. It's sandstone that hardened over time through tectonic pressure. Depending on the part of the country you're in, it goes by different names: "Aspen White, Luce di Luna, Quartzite Bianca." It will not etch as marble does, and with a good sealer, will resist stains. Cost-wise, it's on the high end of granites but less than Calcutta.
