Cynthia Taylor-Luce Depends on whether your kids are constantly spilling their drinks and food on it! I would recommend having a stainguard finish applied on it when it's brand new. It will be slippery on hard surfaces, and it's kind of odd having an underpad under this kind of rug.
Instead, I would recommend a wool rug made with blue and white alternating stripes, so you are using this design as inspiration. If you are interested in a quote I could supply you with one. What size are you interested in?
If sand and surf are actual design dilemmas for you, you'll want an indoor-outdoor rug for a look that lasts.Sources: • Rugs from Dash & Albert will keep your floors looking pristine.• Lots of colorful outdoor rugs from World Market.• Go for the jute look with one from Crate and Barrel.

This classic striped rug adds a coastal style base to any room in your home. Available in sizes from a 2'x3' for the kitchen sink to 9'x12' for living room coverage, you may want more than one.
Constructed using a hand loomed flat weave in durable 100% cotton, these rugs are lightweight, reversible and affordable.
