Love the comtemporary shower with no glass door - I am about to copy this style for my son's bathroom. I've had some people tell me that "no shower door" is going to be a problem and water will get all over the floor. Any expereince with this or any tips to keep the look w/o getting water all over? »
nontoxspot That's okay, I think I can picture it - a rectangle, 3 full length walls, 1 5' wing wall, with about 3' open to get in, right? I think at 42" x 42", with about 24" to get in, only leaves me an 18" wing wall. My guess is that's not enough. Far from enough if the children ever use it! Especially with a hand shower. I'm trying to figure out how to detail this shower to use a shower curtain that looks nice... have seen some photos on Houzz that are actually quite nice. Thanks for all of your help, I appreciate it very much!
Can you tell me how you protect the window covering from water damage - Would you please tell me how far the windo has to be from the shower head to avoid water damage?
Nice, sleek design! »
This offset or brick-style tile installation is very popular. Notice the inside corners. Half tiles alternate with full tiles from the inside corner working out. If you maintain a balance like this with your tile layout, your shower will look great. This shower has a nice, basic 1- by 2-foot tile, with a 50 percent offset brick pattern.Notice how the wall above the toilet has two tiles installed to fill in the short wall. The other tiles flare out from there. The floor tile grout lines also run up and over the shower curb. All of these little details give a basic tile layout a very polished look.

Shower partial wall eliminates need for shower doors. like the neutral colors. Toilet design looks very easy to keep clean - very sleek. like the "floating" cabinets and counter and raised sinks. All look easy to use and to clean!!! Also REALLY like the window in the shower - could make into a glass door leading to an outdoor setting?!
