This addition consists of a new master suite for a custom built cabin on Decatur Island. While the existing timber frame cabin set the tone for many of the structural elements throughout the project, the added modern details paired well with the cabin’s simple form.

tile - I love this bathroom! Wondering what the floors, wall and vanity top/backsplash is? Thx! »
Masterson Studio Hi,
This wall/ floor tile was actually a great deal. We found it at a local stone yard and they called it Ice Slate (although of course often the names are changed by the supplier). It came in a 12 x 12 and we had the contractor cut it to 6x12 and installed in the running bond pattern you see.
The vanity was a very interesting stone that is nearly impossible to find now and honestly I don't have the name for you.
Best luck with your project.
This is a great example of the *largest* sized vanity we would need. Also it is raised off the floor. I wouldn't mind if everything was raised off the floor (cabinets/fixtures/toilet).
great proportions add to open feeling and serene spa effect. complcated ceilng looks great with medium to light tone coloration (dark beams can seem overbearing as focul point).
