An unexpected color palette of orange and grey brings new life to a traditionally architectural detailed bedroom. The mixture of contemporary X metal lamps, orange wall coverings, the oriental rug and Hollywood Regency influenced headboard works cohesively together with visual interests spread evenly throughout the room.

Don't be afraid to combine grey with other colors to alter the mood of the space. Grey can really enhance bright colors especially when those colors are used in dramatic ways like as paint on the walls of a big room. The grey softens the impact of the bold color and creates an interesting visual appeal.
Another outrageous color choice that, for here, works. Details such as the white border on the door and the bedpost that coincide with the dust ruffle give this room a deliberate and finished look.

Consider using orange on a single feature wall behind your bed if you are worried it will keep you awake at night.

Balancing the vivid orange wall coverings the grey bedding, headboard and painted trim modernizes the Tudor style architectural details. Modern X chrome bedside lamps and the traditional rug mix well together with the transitional headboard bridging the gap between the two design aesthetics.
