Replicating an 18th century wallcovering, fashion designer turned interior designer Grady Cooley painted a botanical theme on the walls of a spec house. The crystal chandelier, dark hardwood floors and architectural details create a grand enrty to this home.
High ceilings, an impressive chandelier and hand-painted walls make this space gorgeous. I love the buttery shade on the walls and the way the natural light warms it up.
On top of the color, the combination of the grandiose architectural elements and the flowers make the room even more pretty, while emphasizing its stateliness.
This is a terrific example of a place where vintage floral wallpaper works. Even though the wall is big, the design is so quiet and subtle that it feels more like the beautiful opening of a rosebud than the overwhelming scent of an bouquet. The additional plants here reinforce the beauty of the decor.
