birch trees - Hi. Can u tell me where u hit the birch trees? Thank you »
Grafitti as art and decorative wall paint is such a novel idea. The painting is brought to life with the combination of greyscale versus color, just like in the Wizard of Oz.
Designer Gioi Tran introduced the street to this media room by layering on graffiti art. A first layer of graffiti was painted directly on the warm gray wall in lighter colors. Framed graffiti was then placed on top of it, enhancing both works. A dominant shade, orange, was pulled from the graffiti and used on the bench and in the birch sculpture, connecting the wall to the rest of the room.
6. Graffiti. Today street art has wide appeal, which is kind of ironic. I think people find the idea of tagging their interior walls either really cool or totally ridiculous, which is the mark of a strong idea. If you're looking for something a little more graffiti inspired rather than actual graffiti, check out the art of Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring.
