I’m all for kitchen and dining areas sharing one open space, but sometimes it’s nice to have the option to separate the two. This door is an easy solution to hiding preparation activity in the kitchen while entertaining a dinner party in the dining room, while still looking chic as can be when left to the side.
This horizontal slat design looks like it might not quite fill the entire door opening, which is a great idea because when closed it would make a perfect room divider or screen. Light can still pass through, but guests don't have to see what's happening in the kitchen when sitting at the dining room table.
love the barn door, we have just moved into a converted barn, need to bring back some of its barn features as they dont exist once inside the house! fabulous way to divide kitchen/living area. Can get door made but any ideas where to buy the tracks in uk??
