My home has existing beams in an adjacent room. We are installing rough hewn beams in the kitchen. The floors are wood, the cabinets are cherry and the adjoining open family room has stained beams. Should I attempt to match the adjacent beams in the family room or the cabinets in the kitchen? Thank you for your advice. (My thought is to match the adjacent room beams as you can see them from both rooms). »
I am installing cedar rough hewn beams on a kitchen ceiling. There are existing beams in an adjacent room and I am trying to match the stain to no avail. Any suggestions. I used a semi-transparent and maybe that is the problem? »
Cindy I think the stain type was just the first problem....the challenge continues. I did not think there was a fail proof way other than experimentation. Thanks for the support!
Cindy Can anyone provide the name for the red granite? I am looking for this type of look to co-ordinate with Giallo Ornamental that has reddish brown, cream, grays, brown tones. It has been quite a painstaking endeavor! I want to do two different granites....not an easy task. We like granite, not marble although Emperador Dark was pretty with it. Any and all suggestions by professionals would be so appreciated. Thank you for your time.
Color is too dark like the honey color better. but the half circle for is great . Change the beams to a spoke wheel radiation from the stove top and it would be what we want.
i like this, but push the bar island WAY back and add another big working island with a sink in the middle. That window could look out to the courtyard
LOVE this design!!! Love the shape and size of the island. LOVE the stove being in the corner on a short wall!!! I think dining room would go great in the area where big window is.
