Kimball Starr Interior Design Thanks for your interest. It's a custom creation I did for a former client. I found a vintage army desk, had it repainted, and did the custom decoupaging myself to reflect the homeowners's personal interests.
I had a professional photographer take the pet portraits. I then sandwiched the photos between two large sheets of plexiglas and screwed them together with metal bolts.
Desk Chair - Is it possible to find out where the desk chair was purchased? I like the look of it but want a white colored one or a green or orange color. »
robinhinnant Hey...thanks for the looking out! :) I have seen that chair and excited to see it on sale. The main reason I liked the West Elm one was because it did not have arms. I live in a very small place and my desk is literally right inside my bedroom door where there is a narrow space. The chair I have now with the arms doesn't fit underneath the desk if I have it at the right height. But...maybe the chair would still look finished if I just didn't add the arms on this one since it looks like they attach from underneath. I really like the chartreuse color too! :) Thanks again...much appreciated. I wish there was a CB2 here in Charlotte, NC where I am so I could try it out for comfort. We do have a West Elm and Crate & Barrel :)
Supersize it. "It’s important to me to show each homeowner’s personality in an interior," says designer Kimball Starr. "For this client, his cats are his family, so I wanted to honor that by giving them prominence. I had their portraits photographed and supersized and then displayed their faces where he can enjoy them every day."
