Anyone? OK, I'll get this one . . .

Any "builder" prefab radiant (not circulating) fireplace in the 42" wide or 48" wide size will look like this if you finish it similarly. The reason to go with a "builder" model is that the opening heights are not as tall as the premium models, creating a more "linear" look. Here are a couple I might suggest:
Majestic's "Royalton": http://majesticproducts.com/family/Fireplaces/Non-Catalytic/Royalton/
Majestic's "Sovereign" (the version w/o louvers): http://majesticproducts.com/family/Fireplaces/Non-Catalytic/Sovereign/
Superior's BR42: http://www.lennoxhearthproducts.com/products/fireplaces/bc-br/

The key to creating the step and shelf detail shown in the photo above is to use all non-combustible materials - plate steel for the shelf, steel framing and cement board for the details that overlap onto the face of the prefab firebox (not drywall, the paper will burn). You notice that there is a slate hearth set flush with the surrounding wood flooring for floor protection.

below is the Majestic "Royalton"

Kit Pollard added this to More than Flowerpots: Great Vases
The most basic vases are so useful - they keep the focus on the flowers, but the shape of the vase determines the look of the bouquet. I love this tall, simple vase. It's like a chameleon - perfect with either casual or elaborate flowers.
Becky Harris added this to Titillating Tablescapes
The objects on this table help frame the fireplace. This also brings the eye down into it.
Enjoy all of your morale boosters at once by looking at your flowers and the fire simultaneously. What kind of flowers are you most likely to grab at the grocery?

Don't know the width of the matle, but looks nice. Also, bench in front is nice. Should I raise mine up? Off the floor?

Living room - this bench takes up little visual space and would work well in a very small room.

Kathryn added this to Where to Put a Sculpture In Your Home
September 7, 2009
Around the fireplace is a terrific place to add sculptures since this is a place that we typically use to show off our beloved objects. Most people will put their sculptures on the mantle but I prefer this option of putting them on a bench or low table in front of the fire. It gives more depth to the entire space. Make sure that your sculptures aren't made of a material that will be harmed by the heat!
