Rebekah Zaveloff Great looking kitchen! It looks as if the shelves are hung and attached to 2 metal bars coming down from the ceiling. Not sure if the shelves are metal or wood though.
cocoz i love every single project you had post here! especially to invit outdoor living into indoor living seamlessly. i pick high-gloss white cabinet with concrete stone counter top for a classic moden small kitchen/dinning area. but having trouble to decide wood floor color, can you please tell me what type/color of wood floor used in the photo ? thank you
The kitchen table - it's where breakfast is eaten, homework gets done, and family meetings happen. It's important. But is it nearing extinction, now that every kitchen has an island? I hope not. I really like this simple table tucked next to the window. But I do also love the island. So much of life happens in the kitchen - why not have an extra spot to sit?
Here is the bar stool that made me start looking for more. It is possible to coordinate your bar stools with other chairs in your kitchen. These are all versions of the Navy Chair.
Light floods the large kitchen complete with an eat-in area, a luxury in the city. The design features glass-front cabinetry, simple finishes and 1006 Navy Side Chairs, which look great with the gray countertops.
5. The Emeco Navy Stool: This stool adds height to a hard-working midcentury chair, and is built to last several lifetimes. The back gives plenty of support.See more Emecos in action
1006 Navy Side ChairDesigner: Unknown, but Philippe Starck has used their original designs as inspiration for more recent Emeco collections.Year: 1944These chairs were designed for strength and not necessarily style, but they manage to have both in spades. See more Navy Chairs in action
3. Asymmetrical weight. So now you get the basic idea of balancing the weight evenly in a space. Let's get a little more complex by looking at weight that is balanced asymmetrically. In this example, the kitchen island is weighted on the right by the two metal chairs in a deep tone. The addition of a medium-toned table and light fixture, both situated off center to the left, balances the whole room.
