trim and ceiling color and sheen? - Beautiful! Can you tell me what white color you used for the wainscotting/trim and the ceiling? What sheen for each? It appears as if the ceiling is just slightly lighter shade than trim ... I have been reading suggestions about making ceiling 1 shade darker. Suggestions? Thank you »
Dresser Homes The trim is Benjamin Moore Linen White, semi-gloss. The ceilings are the same color at 50% strength, with a flat finish.

Dresser Homes I'm pretty sure it came from Masterpiece Lighting here in Atlanta, GA. It would have been around 2007 though, so I'm not sure they would still carry it. I would try downloading the picture and emailing it to them and see if they have something comparable. Good luck.

Dresser Homes The panels themselves are actually just drywall. We used wood trim to create the "boxes" and then just painted the whole element the trim color, which was a semi-gloss oil. I have used veneered plywood before to make the panels but I really don't think it's work the extra time and money.
Sometimes white is exactly the right choice. Crisp white moldings make a home feel clean, bright and new, and they work very well in this transitional dining room. This room is perfectly balanced between the white and brown. The dark floor and upper half of the wall are nearly the same color. The white wainscoting and ceiling balance the dark and light areas.

A more traditional look where the cabinets, crown molding, trims, chair rail, and wainscoting (wall paneling starting from the floor base and ending at the chair rail) are white and the gyp board walls are taupe.
