Dresser Homes That's a tough question to answer. It really depends on several factors like geographic region, level of finish, site conditions of the existing house, and so forth. In Atlanta, a high end room like this would probably run between $150 - $200 per square foot. The room is about 576 sf, so you would be in the range of $86k - $115k. Of course you could do it much less expensively with different finishes. This room has custom mahogany doors, hand-scraped walnut floors, 10' ceilings, heaving moldings, and so on. Hope this helps. Dresser Homes The mirror is a "one of a kind" antique. It's actually an old French gate converted into a mirror. I got it in Atlanta at South of Market. They have lots of interesting pieces like this.....you might want to check them out. www.southofmarket.biz Gary Dresser Dresser Homes

Dresser Homes I don't have the plans handy, so this is from memory. I'm pretty sure the exterior wall (with the French doors) is 20' and the other dimension is 22'.

Where is the Mirror from? - There is a mirror (I think) that is not very easy to see. It is against the side wall but looks fabulous! Where is that from? Thanks! »
Dresser Homes Yes, it is indeed a mirror on the side wall. It was an old French gait which was made into a mirror. There is a another matching one not shown in this pictures.

Dresser Homes Yes, all the interior doors are painted Gettysburg Grey. On the trim, it is all Gettysburg Grey on the Main Level but we switched to an off white upstairs. The kitchen cabinets are also that color, but with a higher level finish than the trim in the rest of the house.
Dresser Homes It is just a simple bound seagrass rug. They are readily available most anywhere. This particular one came from Myers Carpets in Atlanta.

COASTROAD Hearth & Patio I'm not sure I understand the question . . . is the face of the fireplace simply two stories of brick? Is there a mantel shelf of some sort? A raised hearth? What style is the home?
Can you post a photo so we can see what you're working with?
Can you tell me who makes the doors that open like that? I love that they are traditional in design. Most of these types of doors lean towards a more modern taste. Thanks! »
How do I decorate/arrange my living room apartment with my three piece living room set. My fire place is in the corner and is the focal pint of the apartment? Thanks »
TanCalGal Here are some corner fireplace room design links that I especially liked. Might give you ideas for furniture placement and get ideas for the decors depending on the color of your furniture and the style. The most important first step is arranging the furniture to your satisfaction. Formal Living Room Note there are twin back to back sofas here Forth Solonga Family Room This is very nice, defined by an area rug Beaugureau Studios This isn't too bad, the arm chairs could also be next to one another and a casual wood rocker on the other side of the sofa Downstairs Living Room
Urban Cabin We have a few different companies that make similar sofa styles: please contact us at www.urbancabin.ca if you would like more information.
If you want the element of reclaimed wood in your home but are not up for a renovation, you can bring it in with furniture. This coffee table is made of reclaimed railroad ties.
1. Don't be afraid of the dark. Try painting all of your base moldings and window casings a dark color. Home dwellers that are able to take a leap of faith by diverting from the traditional colors of white and off-white get handsomely rewarded.
The Process So FarPucul and Semerjian have been communicating via ideabooks on Houzz. Pucul created an inspirational ideabook of living room images she liked, including this one. She loves an eclectic look that mixes antiques with modern pieces. She also loves color — no strictly beige and white palette for her!
