What I like about this room is the way it combines small details - ornate chandeliers, expressionist art - with a decidedly American/Asian spareness. It's the best of all worlds - global fusion.
Another bedroom with just a sliver of the porch peeking through. Judging by the way this bedroom loft is presented, I'm sure that the porch view wouldn't let us down. I'm especially fond of those rich colored doors.

4. Play with texture. Choose your bed linens, draperies, carpet, paint and upholstery in a monochromatic palette, but choose different textures. This creates a boutique hotel feel.
