This appears to be stone with an unusual polish. - Is this a polished marble? The silky shine of the product in this photo is beautiful.

New Ravenna Mosaics
This is the amazing finish of the stone maestro, Giovanni Barbieri for New Ravenna Mosaics. It is called time worn and is meant to mimic the finish of the stones he sees in his Italian village. There is also a Lucio finish that has the same smooth as glass feel with less irregularity. I have the Lucido in my bathroom and have to touch it as I pass daily. It really is stunning. Thank you for your very kind words. I will be sure to tell Giovanni.

Thank you for your reply. Each item in the collection was stunning. The staircase in particular lends itself to a very luxurious, yet somewhat relaxed style.
