I have Stained wood windows & trim....if I put up crown moulding & trim should I paint or stain? - I'd love to put the crown moulding & trim up in a bedroom. The walls will be a soft off/white color. The windows & trim in the room is a medium oak stain. Should the crown moulding & trim be painted the same as the walls or stained to match the windows? »

Meadowbank Designs We aren't aware of another company that has a fabric similar to this, but there are tons of custom print fabrics for sofas, you may just need to do some digging with a local designer.
kirfair They are standard french door widths and the side windows were set to fit the rest of the dimension using 4 and 5 inch flat moldings. I have no idea what the actual dimension is anymore because the openings were existing when we did the work.
Frank If you're looking for this chandelier, I would also suggest looking at the Hudson Valley Jasper chandelier. It has a similar effect but a slightly more contemporary look -- though who can be certain as the top of this pic has been chopped off. What do you think?
What type of crown was used? - Is the crown actually crown? It looks flatter. I'm going for a "flat" crown look and would love to know what's stacked here. »
A whimsical pattern that is large in scale becomes a piece of artwork upholstered on a sofa. This works well in a clean space that has a lot of windows.
A more subtly patterned sofa is still a show-off but remains a bit more modest. Notice how the single touch of pattern enhances this straight-laced room.
Here's one of my favorite tricks: Install a thin piece of trim several inches below your existing crown moulding. Paint the drywall area between the two trim pieces the same color and finish as the trim. The bulkier your trim molding, the pricier it looks.

Interesting idea to have a love seat in front of the french doors. Works with this room. Not sure we would have enough room in our space. Plus, couldn't see the fireplace in our room from the love seat.
