These beautiful subtle colors are calming but also very interesting in how they have been incorporated--all drawing from the serene painting. The tassled curtains, elegant bedside table legs, Edwardian chair fabric all work to give this room a regal yet accessible feel--the perfectly-made bed still looks incredibly inviting. The bedding here is elegant and uncomplicated. The layer of pillows keeps to the same rectangle shape and varies only in fabric. The blue scalloped edging on this white matelasse is the kind of detail that so meticulously finished off the room.
These drapes look a bit different from the first set of drapes we looked at but the overall impact is the same. There is a lightness that brings sunshine into the room but the drapes are heavy and textured. The wonderful old-fashioned drapery cords around these drapes really add to their appeal. I also love the two-toned striped color of the drapes and the way that this color is mirrored in much of the room's decor.
love the color combo maybe I could have this. have similars incl: painting with frame, drapes, tie backs, black plant pot, lamp, pic frames, shams, matelasse...
