Is it possible for you to do work in Northern Jersey? »
Cameo Kitchens, Inc. It extends over the eating area, but not into the family room. A knee wall, which would have been almost exactly to the left of the photographer when they shot this photo, separates the two rooms.
It should be tagged in the photo, along with the corbels on either side of it. If you're referring to something else, let me know, and I'm happy to help!
Cameo Kitchens, Inc. Most of the hardware is from C.H. Briggs. On the kitchen perimeter, the knobs are # BB1140NMB and the pulls are # BB1220NMB. On the island are # BB14431AE knobs.
The refrigerator pull is # SP-12-OA from Cliffside Industries.
I will work on tagging them in the photo. Thanks for asking!
Cameo Kitchens, Inc. It looks like it's about 4 1/2 feet (we can't give you an exact measurement since we don't know the exact placement of the table).
Size of cabinets please - could you tell me the size of the mullions with glass doors either side of the mantel please as well as the small ones either side of the cooktop? also is the cabinet that is to the right of the window and beside one of the glass doors hung at an angle? Thank you »
Cameo Kitchens, Inc. The cabinet to the right of the window was custom built with an angled front. The cabinets with the mullions are about 2 feet wide, and the small pull-out spice racks on either side of the cooktop are about 9 inches wide.
deborah50 could you tell me the size of the mullions with glass doors either side of the mantel please as well as the small ones either side of the cooktop? also is the cabinet that is to the right of the window and beside one of the glass doors hung at an angle? Thank you
Cameo Kitchens, Inc. The cabinets with wood mullions and glass on either side of the mantel are 2 feet wide by 3 1/2 feet tall. There's a little over 13 feet from the front of the fridge to the sink countertop. The cabinet to the right of the window was custom-built, so all of the space is used efficiently. The rear of the cabinet meets both the window wall and the mantel wall, and the front is angled. The two small cabinets on either side of the cooktop were actually built as part of the custom wood hood. The sides of the hood are about 9 1/2" wide and extend down from the hood as pull-out spice racks.
Cameo Kitchens, Inc. Thank you! The ceiling coffers were built on-site, so we don't have the exact dimensions, but they're each about 8 1/2 feet by 5 1/2 feet.
tnt4au Could you tell me the depth again ....it appears to only be about 12 feet deep if you are measuring from the refrigerator and I estimated it at 42 inches and the oven at 30 inches and then it looks as if there is only about another 24 inches of cabinet space beyond that...Thanks
Cameo Kitchens, Inc. I'm sorry, that was my mistake-- it's about 17 feet from the end of the desk area to the far wall. From the refrigerator to the far wall is about 10 feet (the refrigerator, oven, and cabinet next to the oven are wider than they look).
counter tops - Could you please tell me the type of granite on the counters. I love all these colors and am having a hard time picking the right granite. »
Cameo Kitchens, Inc. This is "Golden Beach" granite. You can see painted and glazed cabinets with several other types of granite in our: Willis, Family 11, McCarthy, and Hart Kitchen projects.
Cabinet combination - I'm a little stressed out and I need to make a quick decision. I currently have cherry cabinets and tile floor with an open floor plan to the family room. I'm not sure whether to do cream cabinets and cherry island or will it look better to do cherry cabinets with a cream island. I want a very formal custom look. And my other question, will making the family room kitchen all one flooring, say hardwood make my space look bigger? I love tile more but the spaces may look chopped up. What should I do??? »
Cameo Kitchens, Inc. We've been seeing more kitchens lately with a painted perimeter and a stained island, but when the right colors are chosen, both can look great. Here's a link to several:
what's best color to paint trimwork when cabinets cream glazed. White just looks too white , what about color - what's best color to paint trimwork when cabinets cream glazed. White just looks too white , what about color to use above cabinets if not going to ceiling. »
Cameo Kitchens, Inc. You could have the trim painted to match the cabinetry-- we've had several customers do this, and it has come out nicely (see our McCarthy Kitchen project). For the walls, I don't have any specific recommendations (our customers contract for painting separately, so we don't have information on the paint they use), but we have a several other projects on Houzz using the Seapearl paint and glaze. You can see Seapearl with different colors of wall paint in these projects: the West Creek Kitchen, Petty Kitchen, Smith Kitchen, and the Willis kitchen (coming soon).
Cameo Kitchens, Inc. The designer I spoke with said he would try to use a minimum of 42" between an island and a refrigerator, or possibly less if the island is across from cabinetry or another type of appliance. If it's across from an appliance, check its specifications to see how far doors/drawers come out when it's open.
Under the stool area there is 1" thick beadboard paneling.
Mint Design 42" is recommended; 36" is minimum to avoid visual claustrophobia. I design my countertops at 38" height and islands at 34" to 36" for visual as well as a variety in working surfaces. The pillar under the overhang is more likely for cosmetic purposes rather than support given its placement.
Cameo Kitchens, Inc. We just spoke to the customer, who told us that it is a custom stain (a mix of several colors) from M & M Floors in Falls Church, VA.
I was wondeirng if the sink is white or stainless. My cabinets are a similar color, and I'm going with the Owen granite (it has white, beige, cream, black), and would love to keep my 3-tub cast iron WHITE sink. It was recommended that I go with stainless, or I was thinking about having my current refinished to an off-white. Did you use a white sink? Any help would be appreciated, as I love every aspect of this kitchen. Thanks a bunch! »
Cameo Kitchens, Inc. The sink used in this project was an Elkay # ELUH3621 double bowl undermount stainless steel sink. We use Elkay stainless steel sinks in the majority of our projects and highly recommend them.
Cameo Kitchens, Inc. That is correct: they are Hinkley Lighting Rockford Chandeliers: We just spoke with the customer, who purchased the lights from Dominion Electric Supply.
Cameo Kitchens, Inc. We just spoke with the homeowner, who said that she purchased the table and chairs from Marlo. Unfortunately, it was over 20 years ago, so it's unlikely they still carry them. Sorry about that.
Cameo Kitchens, Inc. We just spoke with the customer, who said that the walls and ceiling are Benjamin Moore's Shellburn Buff (HC-28). The white trim is also a Benjamin Moore color; the customer said she will email us with the exact color.
Valances. This particular kitchen has two very decorative architectural valances — one over the desk and one over the range. Valances can help cover necessary but unattractive electrical items that might be visible when your viewing height changes — like at the island or adjacent table in this photo. The valance on the range covers the exhaust fan, and the valance over the desk area covers the undercabinet lighting. Valances come in all shapes, sizes and styles to fit any design. The majority are ordered in predetermined lengths and then cut down onsite to fit.
