priscillar Thanks...have you had feedback from the owners on how it pulls down from the burners in the front of the stove that are away from the downdraft. We currently have a Jenn-air that really only grabs about 50% of the smoke. We are going to a Wolf and are not wild about an overhead island fan. This looks like an intriguing option if it works.
Does this have to be custom designed by a kitchen designer or the installer? I can't imagine the cost is any different than that of a standard overhead. It's a matter of feeling confident it can draft all the smoke.
Crisp Architects The unit we used, augmented the pop up vent on the back of the stove. We used a mechanical engineer to design the system. I suggest you do the same since every condition is different.
