Sean Michael Design Thanks for your interest in Sean Michael Design. I assembled these drapery rod sets by purchasing acrylic rod from a website like usplastic.com. I combined the acrylic rod with polished silver rings and brackets and polished silver and crystal ball finials from Restoration Hardware to complete the look.
Sean Michael Design I purchased this vintage piece from an Antique store in Chicago. It's character is very charming...something that can't be matched by a new piece. However, Room and Board or Crate and Barrel sell something similar (at least the used to). Thanks for your interest in my work!
For rectangular coffee tables, try this easy 2-to-1 formula: Add two small decor items to one side and one large item to the other. Make sure the heights vary. You can increase the height of one of the items using a box or books.
Red, especially in textural fabrics like this velvety smooth sofa, adds warmth, comfort, and interest into any living space. Crimson is often used in a more formal atmosphere for a touch of luxury.
5. Neutrals with a subtle color. Stick to a neutral palette, like the grays, creams and beige shown here. Black accents help ground this scheme, and the dark red velvet sofa adds a splash of color.
More taupe, which I don't think goes with the reddish floors -- but works surprisingly well with the russet velvet couch (I love velvet!) I think the black curtains work better than white... less contrast. The woodwork seems to be a softer white/bone color, which I like.
