Becky Harris I believe they are by the iconic George Nakashima - definitely an investment, but think of them as works of art: http://www.nakashimawoodworker.com/
Anyone know more about these floors? Im assuming they are end cut pieces, but does anyone have more info on what this is called, installation, types of wood. I think they use to use this in europe for streets?

There's something about the way these pretty curtains frame this table, or the way the chairs sit, or the cool flowers, that makes me want to sit down and listen - I imagine the conversation being all small town gossip and maybe coming with a side of coffee and pie. This space just combines small-town simple with sophisticated in a very interesting way.
I love these floral curtains - they're just feminine enough for the space, but not overly so. This is an amazing window, but it's a really big one, too. Curtains are important for privacy. And in this case, the closed curtains will be just as nice-looking as the open window.
The Saarinan tulip furniture are vintage pieces that have remained classic modern for decades. The open feel and light in this dining room keep the feel modern, while the classic modern pieces and fabric are a throwback earlier times.
A few forced blooms from spring branches will grab attention.

The retro print of the drapes brings a playfulness to this simple and quiet space. They show how drapes don't have to be complicated to bring a lot to a room.
Scandanavian lands bring us lots of vintage modern style, and they have been since the Mid-Century Modern era. These wishbone chairs, tulip table and patterned drapes arranged in a clean fresh way make them vintage and modern at once.
A look that lasts. The ripplefold drape keeps its shape for a long time because it is handled less often. You operate the drape on the track with a cord, baton draw or motorized device. If you are using heavy drapes or heavy lining, make sure your track is designed for heavy-duty use.
A note on scale: If you live in an apartment, there is no need to forgo the dining table. A small round table like the iconic Saarinen Tulip Table shown here can fit in a tight spot and do double duty as a desk.

love the Saarinen table with the rounded top chairs. Their contrasting rectangular seat, and legginess are a perfect contrast to the round table top and the pedestal.
