Architecturally, Herzlinger's goal was to build a home with a very open floor plan. "I wanted a home where my children and myself could truly enjoy and use every room without the usual formal floor plan of rooms that are delineated by walls," Herzlinger says. The dining, kitchen, and living spaces are all connected. Herzlinger outfitted the elegant and bold dining spaces with a naturally shaped wood table from Hudson. Both the lucite dining chairs and the exquisite chandelier are Herzlinger's custom designs.
