Many things wrong with this image. The masonry looks fake because of the way the beams sit on the wall and the way the lintel is detailed for the fireplace. But there is something exceptional about it too. The tight mortar joints disappear, no over hangs create a smoothand modern surface, the color is exceptional (for interiors), even the proportion of the blocks are wonderfully rectangular, BUT THE MOST WONDERFUL THING is the texture. It has been made to look like a mason actually drilling holes and drove steel pins in them to split the stone, then took a stone axe and surfaced the face 'true'. Nobody does this anymore of course because of the labor when you could just saw or guillotine it. At the most you get a cleft or 'split' face by someone banging on the edge, but it isn't the same texture. This is a wonderfully honest material.
