blindsdirectcanada This is a Tailored Roman shade with a border I would contact a nearby drapery comany and make sure to see samples as there is a great deal of product variance in a product like this.
When I see this built-in with built-in bench, I really them. But I worry they would make my children's bedroom small. One of the bedroom is 10'x11', no bay window. Consider single or double bed.
Also, are they costly? Can you recommend someone in Toronto?
Thank you in advance for reply? »
This question is regarding the built-ins. I am looking at a home that has built-ins similar to this, but they are wood, with a fairly dark stain. I really want white built-ins like in this picture, would painting the built-ins look unattractive? Same with the baseboards throughout the house, they are a dark wood stain, but would really prefer white, to paint or not to paint?
Thank you,

jws91 If the baseboards are old and dented, you may want to consider replacing them with pre-primed and pre-painted baseboards, since sanding old paint, priming and re-painting is quite labor intensive. A good piece of advice I was given was to never be stingy with the width of baseboards and window and door casings. It helps to be handy and have a nail gun and compound miter saw, but I've learned it's quite easy to remove and replace baseboards and old casing. Measure twice and cut once!
