One nice thing about feeling sick is not having to cook. But that doesn't mean that the kitchen's off limits. I can imagine dragging a blanket into this space and settling into the window seat while someone makes a nice big pot of chicken soup.

Even if you have a separate dining room, you can add some nice additional seating to your kitchen with a window seat. You can relax here while you're waiting for things to finish cooking. You can design it in such a way that the space under the seating offers storage to make it multi-functional.

well, if you wrapped it around like this, you could almost put a table for a little nook, but I think it would encroach on the passageway too much. It does seem to have a little storage drawer at the end and that wrap around also separates it from the dining space. Interesting. Turning our kitchen into an eat in? But is it necesary along with the counter. I was adding the window seat for hominess. Mostly for looks, guest perches, and a reading nook, but this gives it other possibilities. We did want continuous or virtually continuous glass across the back and we don't want to cut into the newly squared off angle of the dining room is the thing...
