Egress window? - The transom window appears to be fixed and also too small for egress. If this is a basement bedroom is it then in a corner of the house and hence another wall to the right where the blue curtains are that has another larger window for egress? Where we are in NC we cannot count the room as bedroom in MLS nor legally build a closet without an egress window that allow for escape in case of fire. Can you please tell me how you dealt with this issue? Thanks! »
Rautmann Custom Homes There is likely a full sized window to the right. We use transoms for additional lighting all the time in bedrooms in tandem with other full sized window. You an see a house through the transom windows. These windows in this application provide an additional measure of privacy, as well as light.
PPDS This is a mosaic tile installation of Trend USA Glass Tiles - 5/8" Glass Designer Wallpaper In Delicate # 2 - ( TRE-61326 ) but we actually had it ordered from our local Interceramic showroom. Fun accent wall, huh? Here's a detail shot [though the lighter tiles are actually white - for some reason they are a little pink in this shot.]

Insulate. The last thing you want is a noisy — and chilly — bedroom. "Spend a little extra and add good insulation to the walls,” says Wiener. “One good night's sleep and you'll know you spent your money wisely.”
Try something like this. Just read the code carefully and discuss with vendor.
