The kitchen in a recent remodel of a 100 year old Craftsman bungalow

The kitchen in the remodel of this 100 year old craftsman. Open concept, with seating for 2 at the large butcher block counter, and glass doored display cabinet facing the living room. Custom open shelving made from countertop material. Marble backsplash and commercial faucet. The overhead vent-hood provides a virtual separation between the kitchen and the rest of the living space.

mrsaul This is the oak butcher block top from IKEA. It was treated regularly with mineral oil. It's great. I'd use it again in a heartbeat.

mrsaul I used the oak ones from Ikea with no finish other than a good rubbing of mineral oil.
