The beautifully aged floors are either original or reclaimed wood. Either way, they contrast so well with the white cabinets and modern stainless steel appliances.
The 2 light fixtures centered precisely on the windows draw the eye outside towards the light. Notice the direction of the floorboards too, leading the eye in the same direction, towards the windows.
Oh yes, love the flooring and cabinetry. The pale blue wall color is so subtle, didn't notice at first... Love the pendant lighting over sink, but would change the sink to farmhouse style, perfect w/ the rag rug.
The warm dark wood flooring grounds the cooler paint in the upper regions of the room. And the touches of green and carefully-selected utensils allowed out (like the knife board) give the kitchen a personal and used touch.
Floors, windows, combo of wood/white/stainless plus splashes of green. Scale and balance feels just right. Would love cooking in a small practical space like this.
floor boards enlongated (and old lookng), the light fixtures in front of the 2 windows.. dark floor, white cabinets and stainless appliances... great combo
Beautiful floors, love the clean, open feel. Like the pale blue/grey accent color on top half of walls. Could I live with removing cabinets for this look? I dont know.
