I am looking for blinds/shades that I can see through and add some privacy. I don't want to add anything--just keep it simple. I honestly want to do this through out the house and get rid of all of the fluffy fabric (yuk!). So, my question is where did these come from? I love the personality the pleats add. And second, am I crazy?? »
Sheila Schmitz You're not crazy! This is a great look. I'd start looking for Roman shades in sheer or semi-sheer fabrics. Many big-box stores carry a nice selection. An online source: http://www.blindsgalore.com/WindowProduct.asp?id=710173
Keep in mind that people can see through sheer material at night when the light is on, so most manufacturers offer fabric linings to block the view. In my house, we opted for shades you can lower from the top as well as raise from the bottom. That way we still see the trees and sky while maintaining the perfect amount of privacy. table top shape! Pretty clever if we put it equally in the corner. I would like to have you measure two ways. I think we can put it square in the corner like this, or we can run it along the longer wall with just a little bit coming around the corner, in which case we could go with a rectangular table.
