CAROLE MEYER Hi.....the plants in the large pots on either side of the painting are Evergreen Jasmine. This is the shady area with European Hornbeam trees behind the tall wall that give this area lots of shade. These Evergreen jasmine seem to love it here and do very well....the scent is wonderful when they bloom.
CAROLE MEYER Hello Maltese....The furniture was from Smith and Hawkins. (now out of business) However, I have found that you can still get this from Target of all places....go online and look for teak furniture. It is just as expensive at Target as it was at Smith and Hawkins. I decided to just stop buying cheap stuff and get something that would last longer than I will. These pieces stay outside all year long. I do put covers on them and bring the cushions in to store then out of the rain at the end of the season. I am kind of a bargain hunter, but sometimes I think I would be money ahead if I had just gotten these years ago and not spent all that money on replacing the cheaper pieces that just fell apart. I believe it is the Avignon line. (not so sure of that spelling) Hope this helps. Carole
waterfrontdrive We have a place in hot, humid Florida. Can an outdoor painting on canvas be made to hold up in that weather and lots of sun? Would love more input on how to make that happen. Love the picture and idea. Thanks!!
Aesthetic Tile Imaging Truly weatherproof art can be achieved by kiln-firing it on porcelain tile. See examples in Aesthetic Tile Imaging photos here on Houzz
Comfortable seating and outdoor art make this space an inviting place to hang out in. Pillows, throw blankets, side tables and area rugs all add instant coziness.
Art isn't just for the indoors. An oversize canvas highlights this al fresco seating area — a more novel choice than a traditional tile inset or a mural. More:Artsy: Inspired by Great PaintersIf You Love: Painterly Flair
