Blue and brown are a great match in lots of shades. I love pale blue and chocolate brown in nurseries, and the rich, reddish brown of this wood paired with this great blue wallpaper.

For the bold. This paper can't be ignored. Such a design works when the other details of the room balance with a calm simplicity.

This is a great example of how you can start to work with the bohemian chic style in a small space. The chair, dresser and picture frame here are great starting pieces but they need something to make them work together. The textured vintage wallpaper is what does the trick. The display of objects atop the dresser adds to the look. I'd add a throw pillow on the chair but otherwise I really like this space.

I love the idea of fabric on the walls using liquid starch.

A masterful combination of pattern (that's fabric on the walls), mid-century, and a traditional guilded mirror. However, I'm not sure what's up with the skull...

This wallpaper alone captures some of what's trendy about turquoise right now. The mix of turquoise and other blues is hot - and while the blue-brown combination is probably on its way out, it's got another year or two left.
