Urrutia Design The eave and fascia materials are Redwood. They is no stain or sealer applied to them. The gutter in front of the fascia is copper.

Urrutia Design The cedar shingle is a "Type-B" fire rated shingle. It had no other sealer or color added to it. The redwood board and batten is natural and has no sealer.

Urrutia Design The stone is a solid stone and not a veneer. It is called Sonoma Field Stone and is readily available in Sonoma and Napa Counties at various suppliers.

"The main thing for me about this house is that there's a very modest feeling to all of it," Urrutia says. "This is definitely the kind of house that's comfortable — it's not over the top. You feel like you could be barefoot or in sneakers in it; you could entertain kids or CEOs in it. It caters to a lot of different people." Many people have commented on the treehouse character of the home.
