Media Decor The curved header can be made 2 ways.

A jig or fixture should be made out of thin plywood duplicating the desired curve. This jig must lay on the ground and be reinforced behind the curve with 2 x 3's so it is rigid.

1. you can use solid wood and score the inside of it with a skill saw to a depth of about 75% of the wood. These inside cuts allow you to bend the solid wood to the above curve, put epoxy in the kerfs, and clamp it to the jig. Be sure to put waxed paper on the jig!

2. Alternately, you can have the solid wood milled to about 3/8 - 1/4" strips and then clamp and glue them to the jig.

Be sure the carpenter is experienced with working with curves.
