this scheme could work. Just make the floors darker, and the beams black or dark brown, and only have the wall white (the upper half whatever muted color we decide upon for the bottom floor, I'm thinking grey-ish) But I like the one large tan couch (we already have) A big square coffee table. We would probably omit those two armchairs that are just conversational. But I like the tv/fireplace placement. maybe incorporate a love seat and/or a fluffy arm chair - not so stiff. I like the green color option for curtains and pillows and muted patterns...
