Don't be afraid to embrace the piano for what it is. Shabby, distressed, classic and clean--what you hang over it and put on it can contribute to and elevate the instrument's natural beauty and individuality.
Does this piano's state speak to its potential? To its past? To the face that we can get past the outward manufactured shine of this upright and see its insides and uniqueness?
Whatever the reason, and strange as it is, this is beautiful.
