Hello - can you tell us your experience with the concrete counter top? is it porous or hard to clean? have you spilt any wine or acidic substances on it yet? I LOVE the color and feel but have read some bad reviews on concrete. Your feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks! »
Weaver Custom Homes I do not have that information. This countertop was done by Del Col Concrete from Columbus Ohio-- they might have that information.

I am planning to do this rock wall in my kitchen. I would like to do rock on my fireplace. Should it be the same rock? It is an open concept room ..fireplace is viewed from kitchen, living room and dining room. Thank you. »
bepsf Personally, I would never do a rock backsplash in a working kitchen.
While it may be nice and perfectly reasonable for a winebar area such as this - a full kitchen needs a backsplash which is easily cleaned for the inevitable boilovers and grease splatters.
I'd urge you to find a nice rustic glazed tile in a colortone that coordinates with your rockwork and other materials.
Where did you find these stools? They look comfortable and the backs are lower so island is completely visible. They look like they swivel too - perfect !!! »
Where were the pendant lights found in this photo? I have an island light that matches them, but the pendant lights I purchased, do not match as well as these do.
Thanks for posting such a fabulous photo. I love the under counter lights as well! It really adds ambiance and drama! »
Jenn Brown That's odd because on mulletcabinet.com it says it's a wood countertop. Here's their info for this photo:
"Cabin Room" Wet Bar
Our "Cabin Room" Wet Bar has a country-style and warm natural look with a rustic feel. Wood counterops provide a rich aspect to this kitchen. For the best protection, wood tops would be treated with penetrating oils and varnish to improve stain resistance."
How high are the ceilings in this basement? - We are remodeling our basement and have a lower ceiling. I would love to add pendants similar to what you have here above the bar counter but I am not sure if they will hang down to low. »
Kitchen island. It's not often that you see a kitchen island made of anything but wood or metal, so this stone island is a welcome change. The lighting under the countertop makes sure the stone doesn't go unnoticed.
Love the lighting under this bar top as well as the support arms holding up the bartop. Again...stone wall + stone bar front...too much stone? Maybe not!
