I wouldn't normally consider a tub a piece of furniture. However, when it is a wonderful claw foot tub sporting such an amazingly pretty shade of pink, it deserves to be elevated to this category!

You can only see the hint of green here in the old-fashioned bottle sitting on the dresser. However, I chose this photo because it reminds us of the fact that both pink and green are colors that were used in home design in days gone by. The right shades put together with the right vintage pieces (like this great tub) can create a really wonderful retro look.

In a different imagining of the feminine bathroom, this space embraces the girl - a pink tub! - but it's minimal and straightforward design doesn't say "no boys allowed." It's the kind of femininity that anyone can be comfortable in.

Imagine if this bathtub were bright red instead of this pale pink color. Wouldn't it make you want to luxuriate in the bath all day long? You'd feel like a pinup model! I think red would've been a far better route to go here and I think it can really work in a bathroom that's got unique pieces in it like a clawfoot tub.

If you are more interested in creating a true vintage look for the bathroom then you'll want to pay attention to two things. First, choose a tub that has a great vintage color - pink and green are good choices or else you could go with an antique metal tub. And second, choose accessories (like the radio here) that add to the vintage tone of the room.

You can always paint a claw-foot tub to make it look superb! My dad did his black on the outside - it totally changed the look of the bathroom. I'd like to see a bit more black and white in this room to make the pink really pop.
