The Bath Works, Inc. That looks like one of our St. Bordeaux but it could also be an original Bateau. The exterior is probably a Hand Polished finish, we would hand sand, smooth, polish and buff the actual metal casting to create a mirror like shine!
Minimal might be relaxing in the bath, but over-the-top can be so much fun. This space is outrageous and I love it. From the wallpaper to the dress mannequin, it's girly and Old Hollywood and total glam. The perfect space to get ready for a big night out.
I also really love over-decorating in small powder rooms, too. Imagine this wallpaper and a crazy chandelier in a tiny water closet - so much fun.
If the room above is soft, this bathroom is screaming "I am woman" right out loud. I love this brand of over the top femininity - it's ladylike, not brassy, but the woman who uses this space is no shrinking violet.
I love the idea of this space as a lady's bathroom off a master suite - to be balanced out by a super masculine men's retreat on the other side.
Here's an example of how wallpaper can texturize a space and provide an updated look while retaining some vintage charm. A bathroom is a great place to try this out. You can have romantic antique pieces (the vanity, the dress form, the tub) that are pulled together by this great paper. The curtains add additional texture to the space.
Imagine describing this room to someone. Wouldn't it just sound like too much? Too much shine, too much glamour, too much crazy girliness? But all put together, it somehow balances itself out.
Adding a dress form to your space gives you a great opportunity for displaying stunning clothing that you never actually get to wear anywhere. Stick it in a corner as a great display piece in almost any room.
