I do however keep the door hardware consistent throughout the house, while I sometimes change from bronze to pewter is on cabinet hardware. It is more important to make sure that the finish looks nice on what it is placed. For instance, grey cabinets would most likely looks best with pewter hardware over bronze hardware.
