Becky Harris It is a tin roof, but I have absolutely no clue on the technical questions. There is a shot in this blog post I did years ago that has a picture of more of the roof:
This is my neighbor Lily's house. I blogged about her Sambo-designed addition, pining about seeing the inside, and she saw the post and invited me over. This is the original dairy barn part of the house, with a new tin roof added to it.
This shot of my neighbor's house with the Samuel Mockbee addition is one of my favorite spots. The part of the house you see is the original dairy barn structure, and the modern molded rockers let visitors know this house tour is going to be anything but typical.
Another project that inspires me for you is my neighbor Lily's house. The original house is a dairy barn, and the modern addition was designed by Samuel Mockbee. I love her groovy rockers on the porch.
These cheerful chairs make my neighbor Lilly's front porch so inviting. They also hint at the unexpected modern interior and addition on this old converted dairy barn.

The Eames Plastic Molded Rockers in red add a sleek and surprisingly modern touch to this front porch. This space can offer the traditional front porch rocker in a whole new aesthetic.

Does the fact that these pink chairs are Eames Rocking Chairs tempt a serious rethinking of the color pink as an option for furniture? They make a very striking image, sitting on this rustic porch against dark walls.
