hillsdale I have this slate at my home and in this picture it looks like they have the same finish that I have, which is actually, not a finish, but just a sealer. all natural stone should have a sealer. This particular one is more of a wet look sealer which I have, too. It is very nice, holds up very well and keeps your grout looking nice. I've also used more natural look sealer which in my opinion doesn't hold up as well.
John Lindahl I would like to know where you actually purchased the slate. I live on the west Coast and i can't figure where to go to purchase this slate in particular
Cynthia Taylor-Luce For elements like stone flooring, you need to source this locally since the cost of shipping from elsewhere can be prohibitive or impossible to arrange. Check out the stone supplier near you to see the different slate options they offer. You can use this photo as inspiration, but because it's a natural product you'll never absolutely duplicate these colours and patterns.

Cons: Needs to be installed by someone who knows what he or she's doing, be sure to figure installation into the final cost.
