josephinehilde I am using typhoon ivory for granite. I am trying to decide between Shaw's prefinished red oak natural (number 700) or Shaw's butterscotch (number 602) for flooring. I like light colored floors but I can't decide if the natural is too light or if the butterscotch is to orange to go with the granite. The granite looks similar to the one pictured. any suggestions? What is the color of this floor?
lauriew776 I don't know if it is definately Rosemary Sprig, it looks very similar based on the tone, depth of color, etc. There are so many colors that are similar to it, that I can't say for sure. I would go to the paint store and pick up the Rosemary Sprig(Benjamin Moore) paint chip and those similar to it. Some greens are more yellow based, and some have gray tones. Rosemary Sprig has a bit of a gold/ yellow undertone, whereas something like Dry Sage has more of a gray undertone....both are beautiful, mid tone, calming greens.
Backsplash ideas? - I have the same granite and cabinet color and have been searching for months for the right backsplash. Nothing seems to be working with the granite. Mostly colors clashing. Any ideas? »
Teri Turan If you take a look at the other pictures of this kitchen that I did we used a light ivory travertine. Now the 6x6 that you see was existing and the client refused to get rid of it so we had to work around it. But if you look at the cook top area you will see the gorgeous herring bone light ivory travertine.
