Specifics - Such a clever idea! Did you use custom or standard size frames, and if the latter, what size? What were the dimensions of the overall opening you covered? »
Gina Fitzsimmons ASID Hi, I used one inch thick frames so that when we screwed them together we had some substantial wood to get a good hold for the hinges. I have not seen any ready made frames that have this dimension. The opening was approx. 48x27. Good Luck with your project! Gina
TVCoverups Another solution you may want to consider is using TVCoverUps. Framed artwork or panel provides the focal point, until it swings upward to reveal the hidden TV. It comes in automatic and manual lifts and also allows for TV tilting hardware. Each unit is custom to the viewer and room, so it is always best to give us a call.
