Bluebell Kitchens This was a refrigerator we found in an antique store in Provance that came out of a local butcher shop. We had it shipped over and we restorded this for our client. Reenameled the interior, refinished and reinsulated and the compressor is in the basement. Fun stuff.
Bluebell Kitchens This is Keith Johnson's kitchen, how do you know. I designed this for Keith and Glenn about ten years ago. Sadly they sold this house and the kitchen was demolished.
Of course that fabulous cow is the total attention-grabber in this kitchen. Other touches, such as the rich wood to the right, the brass chandelier, and the oversized basket give it the feeling of a French farmhouse. American kitchens tend to feel too matchy-matchy, and this row of powder-blue cabinets makes sure that is not the case here.
Bring in the workhorses. Use an open-bottom utility table for the kitchen island and top it with classic Carrara marble. Then opt for a slab of Carrara for an extra-tall backsplash. To make this look work, leave room in the budget for chunky baskets.
