Greif Architects / LIVING ARCHITECTURE These doors are standard stained wood doors. In this project Fritz Church of 'Fire Works Forge', http://www.fireworksforge.com/. designed the metal work in front of them and integrated it into their frames. If you are thinking of doing any type of artistic metal work Fritz is the best artist I have every worked with. He has done several projects for us, all beautiful and inspired to perfectly fit the client and home.
This has got to be the best example I've seen yet of trees in design. These aren't real trees but they look very realistic. They're on the entryway to a wine cellar here but I'd like to see them on a porch entry in my own home!
I really like the way the scroll work on either side of the doors resemble the trunk of a tree that ends at the floor. As for the space, I like that the table is centered, so it seemly greets you to sit the moment you enter, and that the selection surrounds it, its like entering a personal wine haven.
