If I recall, this designer's name is Fern Galli, or something like that. This room from Domino is burned on my brain, and shows how you can liven things up with dramatic drapes (and a big deer...).
Another clear beauty. The round shape is easier to navigate around in a smaller area, i.e. no mystery bruises on your shins from knocking into coffee table corners on a daily basis!
Floor to ceiling vibrant green drapes complete this urbane living room.

Take away the green panels (which verge on lime!) from this room and it remains interesting, but without such energy. The color choice is perfect for the space, just a couple shades lighter than the bright green chair and the large palm placed in the corner. These modern selections are in wonderful contrast to the ornate architecture of the room.
Gorgeous green is the colour of friendliness. It is the colour of the spectrum that puts a person most at ease in a social situation and the colour that most connects us to the freshness of nature. It says new growth and health. Excellent choice for this living space!
I don't know if they actually did this in this room, but the window treatments could be on one long rod all the way across a wall with several windows, using enough panels to cover the windows, or frame each window, or put it all to the sides for maximum light.
