library ladder - I didn't see any response to the manufacturer of the library ladder. Any chance you could reply. I would love to know how I could get a ladder similar to this one. It's quite nice & probably the size that I need. Thank you. »
riversedge I find lots of wood rolling library ladders, but this looks like it is stainless steel. I'd be interested in the source for such a ladder (and weight, price, etc.)

The largest room in the new wing serves two purposes — it's a music room where the children can practice piano, and a dining room with access to the open kitchen. Like most of the main rooms in this house, this space is open and light, with multiple doors that provide access to the outdoors. The beautifully crafted dining table and chairs are heirlooms from Scandinavia. "They have a great painting and object collection," says Erdos. "They have their own unique style, which very much contributed to the industrial and craft aesthetic of the construction." Sydney-based architect Sam Crawford created a feeling of free flowing movement between indoors and out by installing a wall of windows and large open doorway in this home. And I love the floor-to-ceiling bookshelves with library ladder; what a great use of vertical space!
Finding the piano in this room took a second, didn't it? Instead of standing out like an eyesore, it's tucked onto the back wall and blends in with the surroundings. Repeating the wood tone of the piano in nearby pieces allows the piano to function both as an instrument and a piece of furniture.
