Because I lived in Virginia for so long, I think of brick as very American. What I like here is how well the Asian pieces work with the exposed wall. It is very East-meets-West.

modern global, done up right. I love the patterns & colours -- reds & blues -- of that great rug. That great big mysterious round artwork above the bed adds a 'je ne sais quoi' sublimely primitive & mysterious aura... and I haven't a clue what it is.
