I love everything about this little corner - from the brick to the lamp to the throw to (especially) the books. I'm sure the whole room is inviting, but this particular nook spot is designed for curling up and disappearing into a book.

In this corner of a room, there's a lot going on visually with the shelving and books and exposed brick. A white lampshade would have stood out as a bright contrast. Here the black lampshade recedes more into the background for a quieter look.
